SPREAD INDIA's mission is to provide under-privileged children with an
opportunity to gain the lifelong gift of education. We believe that education is
the key to breaking the cycle of poverty and taking control of one's own
life.

SPREAD INDIA was established in November 2003, in USA, by a group of
young Non-Resident Indians (NRIs).

| How does SPREAD INDIA implements its activities in villages? |
SPREAD INDIA identifies a village and adopts it
for all round development. In consultation with the local
development agencies and other related groups, it appoints
two or three key people to organize the core activities. For
example, in each village it appoints an organizer each for
the Village Community Education Center, Village Health
Center and the Village Development Center. Through these key
persons, SPREAD INDIA enlists various other volunteers and makes
sure that the intended goals are achieved. These key persons
get all the help and guidance from SPREAD INDIA organization and
its associates.
