| About visitor: Sameer Prasad visited SPREAD INDIA operations in Belemla including the Nilayam hostel facility in Balemla, the tailoring center, and the local schools. Sameer is based out of Chicago and is a professor of management. On this trip he interacted with villagers, and was able to understand the type of employment they depend upon and some of the problem they were facing. In addition, he distributed toys donated by children in the Big Brother Big Sister program based in Round Lake, IL, USA to those children living in Nilayam hostel. | |

| Visitor Comments: I found this to be a fascinating visit. Being able to connect with villagers ranging from day labors to shop keeper gave me a better understand of local economy and how they interact with each other. It was obvious that the villagers respect and appreciate the work Spread India is doing. The most enjoyable part of the visit was to the hostel facility. By sharing some toys collected in the US brought such happiness to the kids in Balemla. Their smiles were priceless … and it was so heartwarming. | |

| About visitor: SPREAD India coordinator, Shankara Kuppa (who is in red tea-shirt in the picture below) and his parents (who are right-side to Shankara in the picture below) visited SPREAD India Nilayam hostel facility, and Balemla village Zilla Parishad high school. They met and talked to the students. After Shankara came to know about one of the students need support, he promised his support to that student. | |

Dear Sridahr,
I had a really good visit to Suryapet. Balemla is a beautiful village and it was nice of your brother to show us around. Both my parents and I enjoyed the trip. The hostel seems to be developing very well and the students are very happy at where they are. The facilities are improving and the students are benefitting from the facilities. Something that impressed us was the focus and discipline of the children. The fact that they listened to my father for twenty minutes with concentration is proof enough that they have their priorities right. Let us hope and pray this continues.

Dear Sridhar,
I have handed over the check personally to your brother Ramesh but I forgot to fill the form. I also had the opportunity to visit the SpreadIndia Nilayam, highschool, the main office in Suryapet, the school in aregudem, the Stitching school. We also had lunch at the Nilayam. Ramesh showed me around the place and I am really impressed by the all around development planning (the plans for nutrition center etc). I will visit the Nilayam again sometime in the next couple of months. If you have anything specific on which you need my help, I can help. For instance, I can help maintaining the website. If you have any ideas for fund raising I can work on that too.
