Project Description: The level of poverty and illiteracy in India is frightening! More than one fourth of the population of one billion is poor, and 35% is
illiterate - although among the poorest that figure is much higher. This illiteracy is leading to early marriages, over population,
poor sanitation, etc.
Suryapet municipality commissioner, Khadhar Shahab, started a adult education program to educate
the illiterate people. SPREAD INDIA is participating in this program.
